Announcing the Yukon Wild Sheep Foundation $1,000 Scholarship
Are you a Yukon Resident enrolled in a Fall 2019 post-secondary program of Biology, Conservation, Environmental, or Resource-based Study?
The Yukon Wild Sheep Foundation is offering a $1,000 Scholarship to a student enrolled in one of these fields of study who has a commitment to hunting, wildlife management, and/or environmental conservation.
Deadline to Apply: August 1st, 2019.
How to Apply:
Submit application to YWSF (yukonwsf@gmail.com).
Provide your full name, D.O.B., Address, a copy of your post-secondary acceptance documents and an essay between 750 and 1000 words on your choice of the following topics:
"Science-based Wildlife Management / Why it's important to avoid management decisions based on political or emotional values."; or
"What wildlife (or wild sheep) means to me, and how I hope to contribute following my formal education."
Preference will be given to an applicant who:
has successfully completed the Yukon HEED Program, or equivalent hunter education training from another Canadian jurisdiction;
is a member of the Wild Sheep Foundation, or who's parent is a WSF member.
